Description
Since 2013 the concept Reverse Polarity Rejection has been patented and marketed by RVD-Safe as an RVD-EMR.
The standard AS-NZS_3001.2-2022 was released on the 18th November 2022 giving 12 months grace before mandating and comes into force November 2023.

Transposition sensor, commonly referred to as a reverse polarity sensor.
The 16amp combination RCBO & RVD-EMR is leading the way forward in RV safety for Mains and Isolated Power.
Confirmation of compliance to ESV’s additional requirements for the RCBOs.
The following details will be added to the list of complying products on the Energy Safe Victoria website.

The compliance officer from Energy Safe Victoria stated the following:
22/12/2018
“In relation to the RVDSAFE and RVD-EI module, from my observation of the construction of the device I do not believe that this device is covered under the ESV prohibition for RCBO’s.
We requested the RVD-SAFE RCBO be tested for verification regardless and this is now confirmed in writing. Showing our intention to lead with electrical safety for Generators and Inverters for Australia and New Zealand with ACTYPE (AUS) and ATYPE (NZ).”
